FOCUS
As the first genealogical society in the State of Michigan dedicated to the research and preservation of our African-American history, we take pride in our heritage and our contributions to the world and especially this country. We share this knowledge with enthusiasm, so that we may take our rightful place in history.

MEMBERSHIP
The Society is managed by the efforts of volunteers.  We encourage participation in these efforts. Membership includes a quarterly newsletter that keeps you informed of the activities of the society, genealogical and historical related topics and events.  Our membership year runs from September 1 through August 31. There is no meeting in December.
